Vision: To have a center of excellence for the training of a high level skilled, disciplined manpower capable of providing evidence based healthcare services in different resource settings, engage in research and generation of new ideas, preservation, and dissemination of knowledge.

A team of doctors from the Department of Ophthalmology completed a successiful eye camp at Mwingi general hospital held between 14 and 16 September 2015. A total of 43 sight restoring surgeries (mainly catact surgeries) were performed. More than 100 patients were attended to at the outpatient facility.

University of Nairobi College of Health Sciences is set to officially launch the projects it has been working on with the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

This was revealed during a visit to the college by a delegation from CDC, followed by a meeting at Embankment Plaza on1st October, 2015.
